Scarlett laughed quietly and corrected, “35, actually. But close,” she teased.

Shaking her head, Scarlett added, “You definitely exist, I promise. And I would absolutely love that, actually. I’ve always wanted to watch you work, if you don’t mind, that is. Do you have anything scheduled for now?” She asked. She knew it sounded ambitious, but she really had waited a very long time to meet Dr. Altman and she was like one of her heroes. Besides, she’d just offered to let her scrub in, that was amazing. Besides, the woman seemed extremely nice. Scarlett wanted more people like her in her life. She needed them.

“Wow, you certainly don’t look it,” Teddy teased, warming to the other woman quickly. She liked Scarlett’s genuine attitude; Teddy was generally a good judge of character, and she could tell already that Dr. Frost would be reliable in her work. 

“I just have to round on my pre-op patients, and we’ll be on the OR floor in no time,” Teddy assured. Grinning conspiratorially, she added: “Are you on the hospital’s payroll yet? Because this surgery is a hell of a long one. We could quite possibly be getting five hours in.”
