Gravity || Teddy & Scarlett

“Sounds great. Why don’t you lead the way,” Scarlett found herself saying sharply to Teddy, her eyes raging.

Scarlett waited for Teddy to lead the way and she followed close beside her. She took several deep breaths to keep her emotions under control. Once in the room, Scarlett said plainly to Teddy, “I just spoke to Delia. I just patched her up.”

Again, when Scarlett spoke to her like that, it took Teddy to a place she’d rather not be.  There was something fearsome about the way Scarlett was looking at her now, and it wasn’t to Teddy’s liking. What was it she’d done that could make anyone look at her that way?

At Scarlett’s next words, Teddy could have sworn her heart stopped. Face paling in spite of how hard she tried to keep it impassive, she struggled to find some way that might possibly make Scarlett’s words okay. She wouldn’t give in to the shame of this secret she’d been keeping for so long; there was no way.

“W-What do you mean?” Teddy stammered, trying and failing to meet Scarlett’s terrifying gaze. “Delia? Is she okay?”
