“Sure,” Scarlett nodded and put down the charts. She smiled, “Wow! Iraq, right?” she asked. “Owen… I’ve known Owen about 15 years now, or so,” she laughed quietly.
“I suppose I know him pretty well.” Scarlett fought to keep her smirk inward.
“That’s right; we both served a tour in Iraq together before he came to Seattle. I stayed on for another year before he called me over, though,” Teddy said musingly. Surprised, she looked up at the younger doctor: “Damn, that’s longer than I’ve known him, even — no one’s ever one-upped me on that one before. Did you know him during med school, or something?”
