Jake pulled away from his wife when they both needed air and he smiled softly, “You haven’t failed in anything or anyone. We’ll get the baby checked out tomorrow, okay? For now, let’s go home and get some dinner, how does that sound? Maybe watch a movie too?”
“Sounds like a plan,” Teddy smiled shakily, unreality making her question anything and everything she said. After so long patiently waiting for Jake to come home, she feared that one wrong move might cause this fragile dream to unwind.
